In Memory.

Christmas 2003 saw the birth of my second child, Christopher.  He was stillborn on Christmas Eve and it was a great shock to all the family.  Nothing was wrong with him, he just stopped moving and when we realised and went to the hospital he had already passed away.

It was the hardest time of our lives, and all we have to remember our baby boy with is a few photographs and memories of family time in the hospital in the hours after he was born.

Dinkie Dannies was born out of the loss of my son.  While we were grieving and trying for another child I needed to find an interest to fill my days so that I did not become obsessive about my loss and my need for another child.

I discovered the art of life casting too late to take casts of Christopher, which is always a little regretful for me.  However, I would like to think that if there were parents out there going through the same pain that we did with our little boy that I could do something to help them.

I am based in Camberley on the border between Surrey and Hampshire, very close to two large hospitals.  Should you be unfortunate enough to experience a stillbirth or neonatal death and want to explore the possibility of having casts of your child taken please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
