Christmas 2003 saw the birth of our second child, Christopher.  He was stillborn on Christmas Eve and it was a great shock to all the family.  Nothing was wrong with him, he just stopped moving and when we realised and went to the hospital he had already passed away.

Dinkie Dannies was born out of the loss of our son.  While we were grieving and trying for another child I needed to find an interest to fill my days.

Since experiencing our loss I have been asked to take casts of other stillborn babies by grieving parents via Surrey Sands .  I have also worked on casts for several clients who were terminally ill. Since the spring of 2010 I have helped parents of children from Naomi House Children's hospice to turn the casts taken there into finished pieces. While these casts can be hard to deal with they are also special and an honour to undertake.

We are based in Camberley on the border between Surrey and Hampshire very close to Frimley Park and Royal Surrey  hospitals.  Should you be unfortunate enough to experience a stillbirth or neonatal death or the loss of a family member and want to explore the possibility of having casts taken please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

	Naomi House provides support to children and young adults, with life-limiting conditions, and their families from across the Central South.
	The Fetal Medicine Centre provides care for pregnant women by doctors who have trained in ultrasound scanning and fetal medicine under Professor Kypros Nicolaides. Our ultrasound scans are performed to the highest standards and are backed up with informative and sensitive counselling.
	The maternity service is based at Frimley Park Hospital with a satellite antenatal clinic in Aldershot. It serves the population of west Surrey, north east Hampshire and parts of Berkshire.
	Royal Surrey are a baby friendly hospital and pride ourselves in maintaining a high standard of maternity care for all our women before, during and after the birth of their baby.
